Seixal is a small village, so do not think of a swinging nightlife. However, do not despair: There are several good restaurants near the Casa das Videiras. Try “Briza Mar”, just two minutes walk to the harbour. They have a very good fish. It will be served with the special rice, “arroz de lapas”. I am getting hungry.
If you go up the road there are also restaurants before and after the church.
The speciality in Seixal is filled freshwater trout. You can also find the special Madeiran meat skewer, “espetada” in the restaurants, and sometimes also along the road.
What about a night cup? Well, there are several small bars, “tascas”, just up the road. Also, going down to the harbour, sometimes there is some life at “Clube Naval”. The small pub just below “BrizaMar” is worth a visit. It is called “CalHaus”. You can dance to disco music inside, and listen to the surf, sitting with a drink on the benches above the sea just outside. And then the nicest part, the music disappears into the sea, just around the corner and you can hear nothing.
